Stunning Styles for a Wonderful Winter Wedding

There is always something so special about a winter wedding, and there are so many ways how you can style your big day to evoke that feeling of magic which we associate with the winter months. Here are a few of our favourite winter wedding styling themes, each of which can be added to and adapted to ensure your day is the wonderful winter wedding which you have been dreaming about.

Silver and White Delight

Silver and white are a marriage made in heaven when it comes to styling a winter wedding, pairing these colours together easily creates a magical winter wonderland feel. When opting for this theme, more is more and silver sequin table cloths immediately brings an abundance of glamour to the room. White Manzanita trees make a great choice for centre pieces, adding some height to your décor to give it a further WOW factor, and enabling you to create that enchanting Narnia feel. Surround the trees with an abundance of glassware, filled with either floating candles or white hydrangeas, and dot them around the rest of the venue too for a continuation of your theme. Large silver lanterns are a great choice as you can utilise them in different ways, to line your isle for the ceremony first and then to light up the outdoor space in the evening, try filling them with fairly lights rather than candles to add a little sparkle. To give your winter wonderland theme an extra modern twist, ‘mixing metals’ recently became a hot trend in the interior décor world, so try adding in a few touches of gold along with the silver to add another layer of glamour to your styling.

Wonderful Woodland

Nothing quite says winter like taking a long walk on a cold day through a wood, with a sprinkling of frost on the ground and the sounds of leaves crunching beneath your feet as you walk. When styling your winter wedding, why not bring this woodland setting indoors to give you romantic, rustic feel. Hessian table runners and chair sashes with log slices to form the base of your centre pieces are a perfect starting point to create the look. To add a little more festive magic to your woodland setting, incorporate cream and white flowers with foliage into your centre pieces and splashes of champagne gold throughout your décor to bring a touch of glamour. Scatter jars of candles all around the venue to give you that ultimate cosy winter feeling, add in jars of pine cones and acorns too and put them together in clusters for a cost effective, easy way to keep your woodland theme flowing throughout. Hang warm white fairy lights from the ceiling to replicate a stunning starry night and create a magical setting whilst they twinkle above you as you dance into the evening.

Top Tip: It’s all in the details! Using pinecones as name card holders and filling wicker baskets with faux fur throws to keep you evening guests warm are a few added extras to enhance your woodland theme.

Beautiful Bold Colours

Opting for a winter wedding gives you the chance to experiment with bold colours and textures, particularly darker hues which may not work as well for a Spring/ Summer Wedding. Navy is a classic colour which has served so many weddings well over the years, and is easily paired with both silver and gold depending on the look you are wanting to achieve. Over the past few years emerald green has risen to prominence and makes a great choice for winter styling, throw in some pops of gold and rustic wooden accessories to create a stunning combination, or even pair with ruby red to create a bold but beautiful look. Experiment with textures to bring a different feel to your styling, a floor length burgundy velvet table cloth screams winter lux and makes a statement all on its own without the need for other extravagant décor pieces. Tartan is also a good choice for styling a winter wedding, particularly if you are wanting just a small splash of colour, adding a simple tartan table runner gives a nod to the winter tones whilst avoiding overpowering the rest of your décor.
